Your disavow file: create, review, approve, download
The disavow builder turns your sunk links into a Google-ready file — but the file never builds itself, and the last click is always yours, in your own Search Console.
1. Create — nothing builds until Review is empty
The builder lives at Dashboard → Disavow. It stays locked while anything sits in your Review queue: a disavow file is only as honest as the triage behind it, so every flagged link gets a human call first — sink it or keep it. When Review is empty, Build file compiles your Sunk list into a draft.
2. Review — line by line, DR-sorted
The draft opens as a line-by-line list, sorted by domain rating so the scary-looking ones are at the top. Cautious about a high-DR domain? Remove it from the file with one click — the link stays Sunk at the edge; removing a line only takes it out of the file you hand Google. The edge protection and the disavow file are separate decisions on purpose.
3. Approve — the exact content is snapshotted
Approval takes two checkboxes: that you’ve reviewed every line, and that you understand a disavow is hard to undo. On approval we snapshot the exact file content and store it with the timestamp — your audit trail of precisely what you approved, before anything was downloaded.
4. Download — tokenized, single-use
Approved files download via a single-use, ten-minute link — each download is logged, so the audit trail shows who took the file, when, and that they saw the approved content.
Why we can’t upload it for you
Because Google won’t let us — and that’s correct. The disavow tool accepts files only from the verified property owner’s own Search Console login, and Google offers no public API for disavow upload. Anyone claiming to upload on your behalf either has your Google credentials (never hand those over) or is describing something that doesn’t exist. What we do instead: the Open Google’s disavow tool button deep-links you straight to the upload page with your property pre-selected, and the steps are on screen while you do it. The upload is two minutes, in your account, where it belongs.
Google deliberately buries the tool — it is not linked anywhere in the Search Console interface. The direct address, for your bookmarks: https://search.google.com/search-console/disavow-links
The honest framing
With The Sink filtering at the edge, the farm’s links are already cancelled — the disavow file is the broom for what landed before protection went up, not the wall. Google’s own language applies: use it lightly, because disavowing a good domain costs real rankings. That’s why the file builds only after human triage, and why your Keep list always wins.
